Sporting KC and Darol Rodrock Foundation to collect donations for local youth in foster care

Sporting Kansas City and the Darol Rodrock Foundation are continuing their partnership in 2017 to provide support for local foster care children and families.


In addition to giving away amenity kits to the first 7,000 fans inside Children’s Mercy Park on May 17 when Sporting KC hosts Seattle Sounders FC, the Darol Rodrock Foundation will set up donation bins at the Sporting Plaza and Boulevard Members Club gates as fans enter the stadium. Supporters are encouraged to drop off any of the following unwrapped items for children transitioning from group homes and foster families to independent living:


  • New toiletry and hygiene products
  • New school and dorm supplies
  • Cash donations and gift cards


In addition, the following drop-off locations are currently accepting donations to the Darol Rodrock Foundation.


Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, noon – 5 p.m.
