Single-game tickets are now on sale at SeatGeek.com for Sporting Kansas City's home match against FC Dallas in the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals on July 11 at Children's Mercy Park. The matchup is included in Sporting Kansas City Season Ticket Member packages as Game B.
Sporting Kansas City advanced to the quarterfinal round with a 2-0 road victory over the Houston Dynamo on Wednesday at BBVA Compass Stadium. Manager Peter Vermes men' are pursuing the club's fourth U.S. Open Cup title, having hoisted the title in 2004, 2012 and 2015. FC Dallas will enter the fixture as the reigning U.S. Open Cup champion.
Now in its 104th edition, the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup has been held annually since 1914 and is open to all professional and amateur teams affiliated with U.S. Soccer. The 2017 tournament began with a modern-era record 99 teams. This year’s U.S. Open Cup champion will receive $250,000 in prize money and a berth in the 2019 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League.
