Injury Report is SportingKC.com’s look at the latest injury news ahead of upcoming matches and is presented by The Center for Sports Medicine at Children's Mercy.
For the first time in 2017, Sporting Kansas City enters a match with a completely clean bill of health. Not one player is on the club’s injury report heading into tonight’s Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinal against FC Dallas at Children’s Mercy Park.
Both Benny Feilhaber and Gerso made quick recoveries from injuries sustained in recent weeks and Peter Vermes will have a full selection of players to choose from for tonight’s game, aside from Matt Besler, Graham Zusi and Dom Dwyer who are all with the U.S. Men’s National Team for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
As of their most recent MLS game against D.C. United, FC Dallas’ injury report featured just one name in defender Walker Zimmerman who was listed as out. Peculiarly, Zimmerman started that game as Dallas went on to top D.C. 4-2 at Toyota Stadium.
Kickoff for tonight’s match is set for 7:30 p.m. CT with a live stream available on SportingKC.com. ESPN 99.3 FM and La Grande 1340 AM will also have the call on the radio in English and Spanish, respectively.
