Bobbleheads and family-friendly giveaways highlight SPR’s remaining home schedule

The red-hot Swope Park Rangers enter the second half of 2017 with seven home matches remaining on the schedule. As the future stars of Sporting Kansas City embark on the stretch run, supporters will have more than a few reasons to catch all the USL action at Children’s Mercy Victory Field inside Swope Soccer Village.


In addition to watching head coach Nikola Popovic’s young, exciting team compete on the field, fans will be able to take advantage of the following family-friendly promotions for the rest of the year.


Bark in the Park: Sunday, July 30 – 4 p.m. CT


All supporters are invited to bring their dogs to Swope Soccer Village when the Rangers host Reno 1868 FC. The first 300 fans into the stadium with a canine companion will receive a free collapsible dog bowl. Additionally, the first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a cellphone screen wipe courtesy of Vatterott College.


Truman Night: Saturday, Aug. 12 – 7:30 p.m. CT


The Swope Park Rangers will honor a Kansas City hero when Orange County SC pays a visit. In partnership with the Truman Library Institute, the first 1,000 fans to the match will receive a Harry and Bess Truman Train Car bobblehead, paying tribute to the former U.S. President who grew up in nearby Independence, Missouri.


Back to School Night: Friday, Aug. 18 – 7:30 p.m. CT


Young fans prepping to head back to school will have the opportunity to receive a free SPR jersey lunch box when USL leaders Real Monarchs SLC come to Kansas City. The first 750 in attendance will receive a lunch box presented by Smile Generation.


Harry’s Birthday: Saturday, Sept. 2 – 7:30 p.m. CT


Hat Trick Harry, the Swope Park Rangers’ official mascot, will celebrate his first birthday when SPR hosts rivals OKC Energy FC. The special occasion calls for a Hat Trick Harry bobblehead, which will be distributed to the first 1,000 fans in attendance courtesy of Sky Zone KC.


Each of the Rangers final three home matches will have specific themes. Further details about College Night (Sunday, Sept. 17), Networking Night (Wednesday, Sept. 27) and Fan Appreciation Night (Wednesday, Oct. 11) will be available later this season.
