FootGolf with the pros

FootGolf with Web.com Tour

The Web.com Tour returns to Kansas City for the seventh year and to kick things off (literally), four professional golfers matched up against four Sporting Kansas City soccer players in a round of FootGolf at the Heart of America Golf Course on Tuesday.

Professional golfers Ben Taylor and Greg Eason got in the 'footy' spirit as the Englishmen donned matching uniforms that included neon knee highs and slightly outdated sweatbands. It is unclear where the wardrobe inspiration came from, but the Arsenal and Leicester City supporters (respectively) may need to pay a little more attention to their country's favorite pastime OR stop by SportingStyle ASAP. Sebastian Cappelen and Austin Cook rounded out #TeamWebTour.

Meanwhile, Daniel Salloi, Tyler Pasher, Amer Didic and Adrian Zendejas went with the classic golf polos in a synchronized Sporting Blue. Zendejas was unanimously named captain of #TeamSportingKC, informally known as Team AZ1.

Competitive play in the Digital Ally Open was supposed to begin on Thursday morning, however the tournament was postponed due to weather and began on Friday. The ceremonial first tee was hit by previous Victory Project honoree, Andrew Wood at 6:45 a.m. CT. Andrew is a pediatric Melanoma survivor and loves to play soccer.

More updates and information about the tournament can be found here. Not to mention, the top 25 finishers from the Web.com Tour will earn their PGA TOUR memberships! Good luck to all of the golfers, especially our new friends Ben, Greg, Sebastien and Austin.
