With a two-week break in the rearview mirror, Sporting Kansas City (10-5-10, 40 points) will embark on a two-game Eastern Conference road trip as the MLS regular season hits the stretch run. Manager Peter Vermes' men first take the field Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. CT against Supporters' Shield contenders New York City FC (14-7-5, 47 points) in a high-profile matchup at Yankee Stadium. FOX Sports Kansas City, FOX Sports Midwest Plus and FOX Sports GO will air three hours of live action beginning at 6 p.m. CT, while the Sporting KC Uphoria mobile app will provide live updates. Listeners can follow live on ESPN 99.3 FM (English) and La Grande 1340 AM (Spanish), with The Final Whistle postgame show airing immediately after the match on 99.3 FM.


Following their match in New York, Sporting Kansas City will travel straight to Columbus, Ohio for Sunday's nationally televised showdown with Crew SC (13-12-3, 42 points) on ESPN and ESPN Deportes. The match will kick off at noon CT inside MAPFRE Stadium with radio calls on ESPN 99.3 FM and La Grande 1340 AM. The Finla Whistle postgame show will air immediately afterward on 99.3 FM.


Official watch parties for both away matches will be held at No Other Pub in the Kansas City Power & Light District (1370 Grand Blvd.), featuring an all-you-can-eat buffet with bottomless domestic draft beer or soda as well as $4 Bud Light drafts and $5 Boulevard drafts.


Sporting Kansas City defenders Matt Besler and Graham Zusi remain with the U.S. Men’s National Team for the continuation of FIFA World Cup Qualifying in CONCACAF’s Hexagonal. Besler and Zusi will be available for selection Tuesday when the U.S. visits Honduras at Estadio Olimpico in San Pedro Sula, with live coverage set to begin at 4:30 p.m. CT on beIN SPORTS and Universo. Besler and Zusi will then return to Sporting KC ahead of Sunday's MLS match in Columbus.


Sporting Kansas City midfielder James Musa is with the New Zealand Men's National Team for the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Final Playoff against Solomon Islands. The decisive second leg is scheduled for tonight at 10 p.m. CT at Lawson Tama Stadium in Honiara, Solomon Islands. Sporting Kansas City forward Soony Saad has joined the Lebanon Men’s National Team for a 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualifier at North Korea. The match is slated for 2:30 a.m. CT Tuesday at Kim Il-sung Stadium in Pyongyang, North Korea.


The Swope Park Rangers (13-6-6, 45 points) kept hold of fourth place in the USL's Western Conference with a 2-0 home win over OKC Energy FC on Saturday. The Rangers will now hit the road for a meeting with 11th-place Orange County SC (7-8-8, 29 points) inside Champions Soccer Stadium at Orange County Great Park. The match will kick off at 9 p.m. CT Saturday, streaming live on SportingKC.com.


A new episode of the Sporting KC Show will air at 8 p.m. CT Tuesday on Sports Radio 810 WHB. Hosts Nate Bukaty and Carter Augustine will recap an intriguing weekend of international action and preview Sporting KC's matches at New York City FC and Columbus Crew SC.


All remaining tickets for the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Final between Sporting Kansas City and the New York Red Bulls are on sale to the general public at SeatGeek.com. Serving as U.S. Soccer's National Championship, the Open Cup Final is slated for 8 p.m. CT on Sept. 20 at world-class Children's Mercy Park.
