Three names populate Sporting Kansas City’s injury report heading into tonight’s momentous Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Final against the New York Red Bulls at Children’s Mercy Park.
Forward Daniel Salloi and midfielder Soni Mustivar – who each missed the 3-1 win over New England on Saturday with a hip injury and a hamstring strain, respectively – both remain on the club’s injury report with Salloi listed as questionable and Mustivar listed as out.
Striker Cameron Porter, who continues his rehab from a broken fibula sustained on August 1, joins them on the injury report.
For the Red Bulls, former Sporting KC center back Aurelien Collin will once again miss his chance of a homecoming as he’s out with a foot injury. Fellow defender Gideon Baah is also out with a leg injury, as is midfielder Mike Grella who has a knee issue.
Influential midfielder Daniel Royer is listed as questionable as he approaches full fitness after suffering a knee injury in early August.
Kickoff for tonight’s massive clash is set for 8 p.m. CT on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes, while Sports Radio 810 WHB (English) and La Grande 1340 AM (Spanish) will have the call on the radio.
