Two important MLS matches to air nationally in Week 30

National TV: 2017 Week 30 - Sept. 28, 2017

Sporting Kansas City's home tilt with Vancouver Whitecaps FC might be the best of the bunch in Week 30, but two other matches that hold Western Conference playoff implications will also be available to a national audience this weekend.

Sixth-place FC Dallas and fourth-place Seattle Sounders FC both hit the road for compelling Eastern Conference sides who are out to play spoiler. We take a look at each fixture below.

Orlando City SC vs. FC Dallas | 3 p.m. CT Saturday, Facebook Live & Univision

FC Dallas finally snapped an abysmal winless run at 10 matches with a badly needed 2-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday night. The result propelled Oscar Pareja's men above the red line in the West, a single point ahead of in-state rivals Houston Dynamo. Stakes remain extremely high as FC Dallas travels east to face an upstart Orlando outfit that thoroughly dismantled the New England Revolution by a 6-1 scoreline Wednesday in Central Florida. The Lions' playoff hopes hang by a thread, and anything less than three points on Saturday could prove fatal.

Philadelphia Union vs. Seattle Sounders FC | Noon CT Sunday, ESPN & ESPN Deportes

It would take a miracle for the Philadelphia Union to reach the MLS Cup Playoffs in a month's time, meaning Jim Curtin's side is playing for pride against a Seattle team that ripped Vancouver to shreds on Wednesday. The Sounders won 3-0 to move level with Sporting KC and Portland Timbers in a second-place logjam out west. The reigning MLS Cup champions have no shortage of experience in big-game situations, and they will hope to parlay that into a win at Talen Energy Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
