Sporting KC Academy striker Tyler Freeman is currently training with the U.S. U-14 Boy's National Team at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. It is the final training camp of the year for the U-14 side led by head coach Clint Peay.

Freeman is a standpoint performer for the SKC Academy, regularly featuring for the U-17 squad despite being age eligible to play for the U-15s. He has tallied twice for the U-17s this season and started two matches for the squad last month during Generation adidas Cup qualifying, converting his penalty kick in the shootout victory over Seattle Sounders FC.

In August 2016, he helped the Sporting KC U-13s to a fourth-place finish at the CONCACAF U-13 Champions League with three goals in the prestigious tournament, including the game-winner in a 1-0 quarterfinal victory over Costa Rican side CS Herediano.

The SKC Academy completed the first portion of their regular season and are not preparing for the 2017 U.S. Soccer Development Academy Winter Showcase in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. The complete schedule of matches will be announced in the coming days.
