Cameron Duke U.S. U-16 BNT - Val-de-Marne Tournament - Oct. 25, 2016

Sporting Kansas City Academy midfielder Cameron Duke will return to the United States Under-18 Men’s National Team for two upcoming friendlies against the Costa Rica Under-18 Men’s National Team during a training camp from Feb. 4-12 in Orlando.

U.S. Soccer announced today the 24-player roster selected by U.S. U-18 MNT head coach Omid Namazi for the team’s third training camp of the current cycle. Duke, 16, has participated in all three camps, debuting with the U.S. U-18’s last November in California and most recently taking part in U.S. Soccer’s inaugural Youth National Team Summit Camp last month in Florida.

Duke, who entered the Sporting KC Academy in 2012, has previously represented the United States at the U-14, U-15 and U-16 age levels. He was named to the U.S. Soccer Development Academy U-15/16 Central Conference Best XI for the 2016-17 season and was also named to the Youth Boys All-Midwest Region Team by United Soccer Coaches in 2017.

The Olathe, Kan., native was one of two Academy players invited to join Sporting Kansas City for preseason in Arizona this year, logging 60 minutes in a 2-1 victory last weekend before returning to Kansas City to join the Swope Park Rangers for the start of their preseason camp this week. Duke has started all 11 matches for the Sporting KC Academy U-16/17’s in the 2017-18 U.S. Soccer Development Academy season, scoring two goals.
