Sporting Kansas City partnerships delivering new enhancements at Children’s Mercy Park

Children's Mercy Park Stadium Enhancements

Sporting Kansas City announced on Friday new enhancements at Children’s Mercy Park courtesy of club partnerships with Toyota, Anheuser-Busch, Audi and Coca-Cola.

“Sporting Kansas City is honored to have such great partners who see the true value in collaborating on new and impactful integrated marketing programs which include unique destinations within Children’s Mercy Park,” said Sporting KC Vice President of Corporate Partnerships Justin Compton. “Our goal is to find ways to enhance the fan experience through thoughtful and relevant activations that align with the objectives of our partners.”

Toyota, a club partner since 2016, and Anheuser-Busch, a club partner since 2015, each become official First Team partners of Sporting Kansas City in 2018 through expanded partnerships.

The Toyota Plaza, formerly identified as the Sporting Plaza, is located on the west side of Children’s Mercy Park and features 124,000 square feet for gameday activations and fan-friendly amenities, including two SportingStyle retail stores. In 2018, Toyota will continue as a presenting sponsor of the Drive Time video series on SportingKC.com and will host promotional events at all eight Kansas City-area Toyota dealers.

The Budweiser Brew House, a one-of-a-kind space for supporters, will makeover the northeast corner of Children’s Mercy Park. Previously known as the Members Club, the Budweiser Brew House will be redesigned as a next-generation sports bar complete with charging tables, banners celebrating monumental moments in club history, a bottle cap wall and a programmable scarf corner by incorporating elements reflective of the club’s legacy and Anheuser-Busch’s storied heritage.

The Audi Sport Club redesigns the stadium’s Signature Level for suite holders by introducing a more luxurious setting to complement the all-inclusive premium dining and service available to guests. The multi-year partnership, in conjunction with Kansas City Audi and Shawnee Mission Audi, enters its second season in 2018 with Audi serving as a presenting sponsor of Behind the Shield, a fan-favorite video series on SportingKC.com, and Pitch Black, the club’s annual year-end awards gala.

The Coca-Cola Champions Deck, a single-game suite located at field level in the northwest corner of Children’s Mercy Park, will also be upgraded for 2018 by now offering ticket holders exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to a climate-controlled and fully-branded premium buffet in addition to the existing in-seat food and beverage service. Heartland Coca-Cola, a club partner since 2016, is the team’s official fan refreshment partner with Coca-Cola products available stadium-wide.

Children’s Mercy Park, recently rated the best soccer-specific stadium in the United States, opened in 2011 and has since hosted the biggest events in American soccer: MLS Cup, two Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Finals, the MLS All-Star Game, World Cup qualifying, Olympic qualifying and the NCAA College Cup. In addition, the world-class venue has attracted top international clubs including the likes of Manchester City FC (England) and AS Roma (Italy).

The 2018 MLS regular season will feature 17 matches at Children’s Mercy Park, beginning with Sporting Kansas City’s March 4 home opener against David Villa and New York City FC. Single-game tickets for Sporting KC’s first 10 home matches, as well as half-season and full-season ticket packages, are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
