Ike Opara bobbleheads available Saturday to first 10,000 fans

After weeks of eager anticipation and patient waiting, Sporting Kansas City fans will finally have the opportunity to get their hands on an Ike Opara bobblehead this Saturday when the club hosts D.C. United at Children's Mercy Park.

The limited-edition bobblehead — crafted in memory of Opara's epic bicycle kick goal last summer against the LA Galaxy — will be available to the first 10,000 supporters who arrive at the stadium on Saturday, courtesy of match sponsor UMKC.

For those not among the first 10,000 people to enter through the Children's Mercy Park gates, all fans who make a $50 purchase at any SportingStyle location on Saturday night will also receive a free Ike Opara bobblehead.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CT Saturday and tickets remain available via SeatGeek.com. Matchday programming also features the first-ever Craft Beer Tasting Night courtesy of Anheuser-Busch. For $36, fans will receive one South Stand ticket, a wristband for entry into Sporting KC’s tailgate tent, a six-beer flight of Anheuser-Busch’s craft offerings, and a limited-edition 16-oz tasting glass that can be taken into the stadium.

Winners in two of their last three matches, Sporting KC currently occupies first place in the Western Conference with a league-best nine goals through four games.
