Radio Rewind: Yohan Croizet and Roger Espinoza visit Sports Radio 810 WHB

Yohan Croizet - Sporting KC vs. Vancouver Whitecaps FC - April 20, 2018

A pair of midfielders for Western Conference leaders Sporting Kansas City joined Sports Radio 810 WHB this week to recap a record-breaking victory over Vancouver Whitecaps FC and look ahead to Saturday's road test at the New England Revolution.

First-year Frenchman Yohan Croizet enjoyed his best game in a Sporting KC uniform, tallying a goal and an assist en route to Audi Player Index Performance of the Week honors. Croizet was on The Sporting KC Show with hosts Nate Bukaty and Carter Augustine on Tuesday night to share more about his background growing up in France and developing as a professional soccer player. He also attributed Sporting KC's excellent culture and fan base for helping him adjust on and off the field.

"To finally get my first goal for the team at home was an amazing feeling," Croizet said. "I love the mentality of this team and I love this city. So I want to be here as long as I can."

Roger Espinoza visited with The Border Patrol this morning to reflect on his stellar start to the 2018 campaign. The Honduran has already tied a career-high with five assists through eight games, tied for the most in Major League Soccer. He assisted the first two goals in Friday's rout to Johnny Russell, who scored the eighth Kansas City hat-trick in club history.

"It's something that I wasn't thinking about at the start of the season," Espinoza said of his offensive production. "But when you have a guy like Johnny (Russell), all you have to do is give him the ball and he will score."
