The Swope Park Rangers (7-4-4, 25 points) would lose 4-1 to Fresno FC (4-5-7, 19 points) at Chukchansi Park in Fresno, Calif., on Sunday night. Fresno would score four goals and the Rangers only goal would come in the 86th minute from 18-year-old Sporting KC Academy product Wilson Harris.
Fresno would take an early lead in the first half with a goal from Christian Chaney and an assist from Zachary Ellis-Hayden in the fourth minute.

Sporting KC Academy product Felipe Hernandez’s shot in the 40th minute was caught by Fresno’s goalkeeper C.J. Cochran. In the 44th minute, Hernandez would have a great cross to Tyler Blackwood in the center of the box, but Blackwood would not be able to get a touch.

Harris would score his first professional goal in the 86th minute when Cochran rushed off his line. Fellow Sporting KC Academy product Sean Karani would pick up the assist, his first as a professional.
Sporting KC Academy product and Fresno native Sebastian Cruz would have a great chance at pulling a second goal back for SPR with a shot to the top right corner of the goal, but Fresno’s goalie would be there to make the save.
The Rangers will return home on Sunday, June 24 at 4:00 p.m. CT to face Las Vegas Lights FC (4-5-4, 16 points) at Children’s Mercy Park.
