National TV: Two games highlight weekend slate in MLS

National TV - 2018 Week 25 DL - Weekend games

Sporting Kansas City fans will have all eyes on Saturday's showdown against the Portland Timbers at Children's Mercy Park. In a battle between teams vying for top spot in the Western Conference, resurgent Sporting KC will host Portland at 7:30 p.m. CT on FOX Sports Kansas City Plus and FOX Sports Midwest Plus, with a limited number of tickets to the game still available via SeatGeek.

But soccer fanatics looking for an extra dose of MLS action need only look before and after the Sporting KC match this weekend.

At 3 p.m. CT Saturday, red-hot Seattle Sounders FC (9-9-5, 32 points) will put a five-game winning streak on the line when they host Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the LA Galaxy (10-8-7, 37 points) on ESPN. Postseason implications abound in this one, with Seattle three points below the playoff line and the LA Galaxy five points out of first place.

At 6:30 p.m. CT Sunday, upstart D.C. United (6-9-6, 24 points) continues life in its new home at Audi Field against the New England Revolution (7-8-8, 29 points) on FS1. Both sides are aiming to claw their way into the Eastern Conference playoff picture, but there's no question which team is in better form. The Revs are winless in six, while Wayne Rooney and D.C. have won three of four. United also has multiple games in hand on each of their conference opponents.
