National TV: #SKCvLA headlines Decision Day coverage on FS1

Sunday's monumental showdown between Sporting Kansas City and LAFC at Children's Mercy Park will be the headline match on FS1 as Decision Day, presented by AT&T, draws the 2018 MLS regular season to a thrilling conclusion.

Eleven MLS matches will kick off simultaneously at 3:30 p.m. CT on Sunday, and none have more on the line than the game that features the top two teams in the Western Conference battling for the No. 1 playoff seed.

With a win or a draw this weekend, first-place Sporting KC (17-8-8, 59 points) can clinch the top spot in the West and a Knockout Round bye in the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs. A loss, however, would give second-place LAFC (16-8-9, 57 points) the No. 1 seed and drop Sporting KC anywhere from second to fourth.

#SKCvLAFC will be the featured matchup on FS1 and FOX Deportes, with live look-ins to the drama unfolding throughout the other 10 fixtures.

Among the other major storylines heading into Decision Day:

  • One playoff spot remains in the East, going to either Columbus or Montreal.  One spot remains in the West, going to either RSL or LA Galaxy.
  • Atlanta United (69 points) and New York Red Bulls (68 points) are vying for the Supporters’ Shield, the top spot in the Eastern Conference standings, as well as the single-season points record currently held by Atlanta United and Toronto FC (69 points in 2017).
  • With 144 goals to his name, will Will Chris Wondolowski equal or break the MLS all-time goal-scoring record held by Landon Donovan at 145?

It all comes down to Sunday.

Tickets for the highly anticipated finale at Children's Mercy Park, including standing-room only tickets, remain available via SeatGeek.com as Sporting KC hosts its Fan Appreciation Match with thousands of prizes available exclusively through the Sporting KC Uphoria app. The first 5,000 fans in attendance will also receive a free pop socket courtesy of match sponsor PNC Bank.
