Sporting Kansas City heads into tonight’s crucial Western Conference Championship Second Leg against the Portland Timbers at Children’s Mercy Park with four players on the injury report.
Defender Graham Zusi is removed after being questionable for the First Leg, but fellow defenders Amer Didic (back) and Jaylin Lindsey (calf) are added. They join long-term absentees Cristian Lobato and Jimmy Medranda, who are both out with season-ending knee injuries.
For the Timbers, center back Larrys Mabiala – who limped out of the First Leg in the opening period – is questionable with an ankle injury and is joined in that category by forward Samuel Armenteros (back spasms) and winger Andy Polo (calf). Goalkeeper Jake Gleeson (tibia surgery), defender Roy Miller (thigh) and forward Foster Langsdorf (knee surgery) are all out.
Tonight’s match will off at 8:30 p.m. CT on ESPN, while Sports Radio 810 WHB (English) and ESPN Deportes 1480 AM (Spanish) will carry the game locally on the radio. Tickets are available via SeatGeek.com.
