Generation adidas Cup match between Sporting KC U-17s and Toluca U-17s to stream live on Twitch on Sunday

Major League Soccer announced on Friday that the league has come to an agreement with Twitch to be the exclusive streaming destination of the 2019 Generation adidas Cup.


Twitch, the leading service and community for multiplayer entertainment, will stream 66 matches live from Generation adidas Cup, hosted in Frisco, Texas, from April 14-20. The annual tournament feature MLS academy sides taking on each other and international academy teams from around the world, in the U-17 and U-15 age brackets. All matches that are played at Toyota Stadium will feature Video Review, while 38 of the marquee game streams will include full announcing crews.


Among the matches streaming live on Twitch is a USA-Mexico battle between the Sporting Kansas City U-17s and the Toluca U-17s at 1:30 p.m. CT this Sunday, April 14.


On top of the match streams, Twitch will also showcase off-field programming through player engagement seminars and coaching symposium talks from some top minds in the sport.


The Generation adidas Cup streams on Twitch are the latest MLS event to integrate with the platform, joining the recent 2019 eMLS Cup.


This yearā€™s Generation adidas Cup will see the introduction of a new U-15 tournament between MLS and Liga MX clubs, the latest competitive initiative in the partnership between the two leagues. Additionally, Generation adidas Cup will feature an expanded U-17 competition including 15 premier international clubs, making up the largest field of participants in tournament history.
