For the third straight year, Sporting Kansas City and clubs across MLS will celebrate the Greener Goals Week of Service by wearing special adidas x Parley eco-friendly kits during Earth Day weekend from April19-21. These innovative Climalite kits are made from technical yarns comprised of Parley Ocean Plastic, plastic waste collected on beaches and in coastal communities and transformed into high-performance sportswear. Sporting unveiled their 2019 Parley jersey on Thursday.
Forward Gerso Fernandes showcases the kit below, photographed at the iconic Nelson-Atkins Museum in Kansas City, Missouri. The background features a work of art titled Dusasa I from El Anatsui. The Ghanaian artist created the piece from recycled liquor-bottle tops that have been flattened and stitched together using copper wire.

Manager Peter Vermes' side will also wear the jersey for their away match at the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday, April 20.
