Sporting Kansas City announced today that the club has mutually agreed to part ways with Mateus Manoel, Director of Sports Performance and Science.
“We would like to thank Mateus for his contributions to the club over the last 10 seasons,” Sporting KC Manager and Sporting Director Peter Vermes said. “On behalf of the entire organization, we wish him the best in the next chapter of his career.”
Manoel has served as the club’s head fitness coach since joining the club in 2010. He was previously the head fitness coach for the Mexico Men’s National Team in 2009 and an assistant fitness coach for the United States Men’s National Team at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
