Sporting KC Show Podcast: Analysts Matt Lawrence and Brian Dunseth preview #SKCvRSL

The Sporting KC Show Podcast, dropping throughout the season on Sports Radio 810 WHB, is now available on Spotify and iTunes. With Nate Bukaty and Carter Augustine hosting the weekly program, Sporting fans now have a place to go to catch up on club storylines, player achievements, guest interviews and more.

A new episode of The Sporting KC Show Podcast debuted Tuesday night on Sports Radio 810 WHB with hosts Nate Bukaty and Carter Augustine, serving as the perfect recap of a momentous road win at Seattle Sounders FC and a primer for Saturday's momentous battle between Sporting and Real Salt Lake at Children's Mercy Park.

Joining the show were a pair of accomplished soccer analysts in Sporting KC color commentator Matt Lawrence and national pundit Brian Dunseth.

Lawrence highlights the first segment as the trio discusses whether Sunday's 3-2 victory over Seattle just might be the turning point of Sporting's campaign. Manager Peter Vermes' men sit five points below the playoff spots and six points behind Real Salt Lake, but as Lawrence points out, Sporting have the opportunity to gain ground with four of the next five matches taking place in the friendly confines of Children's Mercy Park. Real Salt Lake will also be without manager Pike Petke, who continues to serve a disciplinary suspension for remarks made during a Leagues Cup contest last month.

Dunseth then joined the show to provide insight from the Real Salt Lake sideline. The former MLS veteran calls matches for FOX Sports nationally but also serves as RSL's color man for local broadcasts. Among the several compelling talking points: the contributions of midfielder Felipe Gutierrez and breakout forward Erik Hurtado, RSL's chance to potentially put a nail in Sporting's playoff coffin, and the unpredictable future of Major League Soccer as small-market clubs such as Sporting and RSL attempt to keep pace with heavy spenders on the coasts.
