In 2016, soccer savant Gianluca Busio decided he wanted to take his game to the next level. That meant leaving his family in Greensboro, North Carolina, and joining the Sporting Kansas City Academy.
Now, at the age of 17, Busio a regular contributor for the first team and—as 610 Sports’ Josh Klingler puts it—the sky is the limit. It hasn’t always been easy for Busio, but he wouldn’t have it any other way.
