Monday afternoon, Sporting Kansas City defender Graham Zusi joined The Church of Lazlo on alternative music station 96.5 The Buzz to discuss his team's late-season playoff push.
Zusi has helped Sporting to a club-record eight straight postseason appearances since 2011 and four major championships this decade. The 11th-year veteran agreed with hosts Lazlo and Slimfast that each of Sporting's seven remaining MLS matches will feel like a playoff game.
With a challenging stretch run ahead, Zusi estimates that Sporting will need to take 15 points between now and Decision Day on Oct. 6 when the side faces FC Dallas in the regular season finale. Manager Peter Vermes' men are six points shy of the seventh and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
