Swope Park Rangers striker Wilson Harris continued his stunning run of form with his eighth goal in his last nine matches during last night's 3-1 victory over Birmingham Legion FC. Harris now has 10 goals in 2019, and no other teenager has more goals than the talented 19-year-old in the USL Championship season.
Harris struck in just the seventh minute last night, converting Alexsander's cross from the left wing with a deft backheel at the near post that flew into the corner beyond the despairing dive of Matt VanOekel in the Birmingham goal.
With this ridiculous finish last night for his 10th goal of the campaign, @SKCAcademy product @Nosliwharris is now the top teenage goalscorer in the @USLChampionship this season 🎯🔥— Swope Park Rangers (@SwopeRangers) October 1, 2019

Harris, a product of the Sporting Kansas City Academy, signed a professional contract with the Rangers midway through 2018 and has 13 goals in 36 appearances over the past two seasons.
His goal last night saw Harris pull into a tie for the teenage goalscoring lead alongside New York Red Bulls II striker Mathias Jorgensen - who has also tallied 10 goals while on loan from the Red Bulls' first team.
The Rangers (6-17-7, 25 points) are 3-1-1 across their last five games and have gained some momentum heading into the final stages of the 2019 season. Paulo Nagamura's side is back in action this Saturday when SPR takes on Sporting legend Jimmy Nielsen and Hartford Athletic FC at Dillon Field at 6 p.m. on ESPN+. The Rangers return home for their final home game of the season next Tuesday, Oct. 8, when the side hosts Ottawa Fury FC at Children's Mercy Park, with tickets available via SeatGeek.com.
