To celebrate the start of the 2020 MLS season in style, fans of all ages are welcome to join Sporting Kansas City for the First Kick Party on Saturday, Feb. 29, at Corinth Square in Prairie Village, Kansas (8221 Corinth Mall, Prairie Village, KS).


Serving as a festive lead-up to Sporting’s season opener that evening at Vancouver Whitecaps FC, the First Kick Party will feature interactive and family-friendly activities, food and beverage tents from First Watch and BRGR, specials at multiple Corinth Square shops, SportingStyle merchandise, FIFA 20 inside No Other Bus presented by Security Bank, and a free youth soccer clinic for Sporting Stars & Sporting Stripes presented by Blue KC. Players must be 3-8 years of age and clinic registration is now open on a first-come, first-served basis.


Admission to the First Kick Party is free and open to the public. Programming will begin at 1 p.m. CT and culminate with an all-ages watch party inside Johnny’s Tavern at Corinth Square (8262 Mission Rd.) as Sporting and Vancouver kick off at 9:30 p.m. CT.

After visiting Vancouver, Sporting will return to the friendly confines of Children’s Mercy Park for their highly anticipated home opener against rivals Houston Dynamo at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, March 7. Tickets for the contest are now available at SeatGeek.com and the first 10,000 fans through the stadium gates will receive a free rally towel courtesy of match sponsor UMB Bank.
