Sporting Sounds: Peter Vermes talks Twitter, childhood, Andy Reid and more on 810 WHB

Could Peter Vermes be ready to make his Twitter debut?

Sporting Kansas City fans have another must-listen interview to enjoy after the Sporting Kansas City manager joined The Border Patrol on Tuesday morning.

Vermes' wide-ranging discussion on Sports Radio 810 WHB led off with an admission: the 12th-year head coach and longest manager in MLS is seriously considering the possibility of launching a Twitter account. From there, he reflects on his upbringing in New Jersey, the special story about a bet he won against his dad as a young soccer player, and head coach Andy Reid's breakthrough as a Super Bowl champion with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The longest-tenured manager in MLS, Vermes was effusive in his praise of Reid and spoke at length about what makes his such a great coach in the National Football League. The segment then closes with Vermes sharing honest thoughts about being mic'd up and an evaluation of his own team as it continues preseason preparations in Arizona.
