FOX Sports Kansas City to re-air Sporting's first two wins of 2020 season

FOX Sports Kansas City Re-Aired Matches

Sporting Kansas City fans can bank on a victory for the next two weekends.

In the coming days, FOX Sports Kansas City will re-air Sporting's first two matches of the 2020 MLS season—an impressive 3-1 road win over Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Feb. 29 and an emphatic 4-0 dismantling of the Houston Dynamo on March 7 at Children's Mercy Park.

The Vancouver match will air on FOX Sports Kansas City at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. CT this Saturday, March 21. The Houston match will air the following Saturday, March 28, at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. CT.

FOX SPORTS KANSAS CITY RE-AIRINGS

  • Feb. 29 match at Vancouver: Saturday, March 21 (6 p.m. and 8 p.m. CT)
  • March 7 match vs. Houston: Saturday, March 28 (6 p.m. and 8 p.m. CT)

The 4-0 defeat of Houston on March 7 garnered the highest-rated telecast in the four-year partnership between Sporting and FOX Sports Kansas City, according to Nielsen. More fans tuned into that contest than any other MLS match to air on FOX Sports Kansas City since 2017, providing an audience that was treated to four goals and a dominant, wire-to-wire performance from Manager Peter Vermes' side.

FOX Sports Kansas City will serve as Sporting's exclusive television home throughout 2020, televising most of the club's MLS regular season matches with new color analyst and former MLS veteran Jacob Peterson joining play-by-play commentator Nate Bukaty and touchline reporter Carter Augustine on the call.
