Sporting forward Daniel Salloi joins Soccer Cooligans podcast

Sporting Kansas City forward Daniel Salloi provided some comic relief this week when he joined the famous Soccer Cooligans podcast.

The date was Thursday, March 12, and the 23-year-old was hours away from taking the stage at Arvest Bank Theatre at the Midland in downtown Kansas City. He had been chosen for "The Bachelor Live on Stage" and was about to meet 10 young women vying for his heart. But before this could even take place, the sweeping COVID-19 pandemic prompted a cancellation of the event.

"From meeting 10 girls at once and being the Bachelor, I went to being in quarantine alone for two months," Salloi said. "Life can hit you hard."

Salloi's interview with the Soccer Cooligans, professional comedians Alexis Guerreros and Christian Polanco, serves up the perfect mix of laughs and compelling insight. With plenty of banter to go around, the Sporting KC Academy product talked about his family's rich soccer background, how he is staying physically and mentally fit during his quarantine, playing for Manager Peter Vermes, his player ratings in FIFA and plenty more.
