Sporting Kansas City and The Victory Project will host their annual Yoga on the Pitch fundraising event on Saturday, Aug. 8, at Children’s Mercy Park.
The 60-minute yoga session will take place on the field of Sporting Kansas City’s world-class stadium, welcoming participants of all ages. Registration is now open at VictoryKC.org.
Yoga on the Pitch is $30 for adults and $20 for kids and all proceeds will go to The Victory Project, the charitable arm of Sporting Kansas City dedicated to helping children and families affected by cancer and all of life’s challenges. BODYARMOR LYTE will support the event by providing hydration products for participants and everyone attending will walk away with a branded, reusable water bottle.
Ryan Stock—the founder of MindSport, author of Buddha was a Baller and a former college basketball player and coach who has worked with professional athletes across the country—will lead the all-levels yoga class from 9-10 a.m. CT. Dr. Auburn Ellis—founder of Studio 54oo, featuring Art and Yoga Flow—will offer a specialized yoga session for children.

- 8:30 a.m. – Doors open at Children’s Mercy Park
- 8:30 a.m. – Event check-in begins
- 9 a.m. – Yoga session begins

Since its founding in 2013, The Victory Project has united Sporting players, fans and staff in the battle against childhood cancer. In addition to raising funds that address specific needs of children undergoing cancer treatment, the organization has shared incredible memories with over 150 Victory Project Honorees — special guests affected by cancer who are invited to Children’s Mercy Park alongside their families for an unforgettable experience at every Sporting home match.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, The Victory Project and Sporting Kansas City have also united with community partners to launch Sporting Serves, a philanthropic initiative that provides relief to individuals and families across the metropolitan area.
