League Series One qualifying: Alekzandur set for decisive week in eMLS

With seven qualifying matches down and seven still to play, Sporting Kansas City eMLS star Alekzandur is on course to qualify for the eMLS League Series One finals next weekend.

Alekzandur, who went 4-2-1 in his first seven League Series One qualifiers last week, currently occupies eighth place in the overall standings.

Following another set of qualifying matches this Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 12-13, the top eight finishers will progress to eMLS League Series One presented by Coca-Cola. That competition is slated for Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 16-17.

The prize pool for League Series One is $15,000 and fans can watch next weekend's FIFA 21 tournament on twitch.tv/MLStwitter.com/MLS or on MLSsoccer.com and the free MLS app.

League Series One is the first of three major FIFA 21 events to highlight the eMLS calendar. League Series Two will take place Feb. 13-14 and the 2021 eMLS Cup is scheduled for March 20-21.
