United Soccer Coaches Convention to feature virtual Q&A with Peter Vermes

2021 United Soccer Coaches Convention

Sporting Kansas City Manager and Sporting Director Peter Vermes is a featured presenter during the 2021 United Soccer Coaches Convention and will participate in a pair of sessions on Wednesday for the event's virtual attendees.


Vermes will be joined by Sporting Kansas City broadcaster Nate Bukaty for a 1 on 1 question and answer session at 11:20 a.m. CT on Wednesday, followed by an opportunity to speak with the current class of the United Soccer Coaches' 30 Under 30 program at 12:30 p.m. CT.


The association's annual convention kicked off today with an opening keynote featuring the Sporting Kansas City Academy U-13 team in a training session filmed at Swope Soccer Village and led by United Soccer Coaches Director of Coaching Education Ian Barker.


The week-long digital event delivers content and programming for an international audience of coaches at all levels of the sport. Distinguished speakers appearing on the schedule this week include U.S. Men's National Team head coach Gregg Berhalter, World Cup champion Jill Ellis and Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho.


Based in Kansas City, United Soccer Coaches was founded in 1941 and has grown into the world's largest organization of its kind. Next year's United Soccer Coaches Convention will be held in Kansas City from Jan. 19-23, 2022, bringing thousands of players, coaches and administrators to the Kansas City Convention Center.
