Sporting Kansas City returns home this afternoon to take on Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Children’s Mercy Park. Both Sporting and Vancouver are in a tie for fifth in the Western Conference with 2-2-1 records (7 pts.), while each team has had identical results to start the season: win-draw-loss-win-loss.

In addition, Vancouver are without left back Ali Adnan who has been called up to the Iraq National Team. Adnan has been unable to join the Whitecaps in their current base in Salt Lake City, Utah due to visa issues.
