SKC Academy defender Jaylin Lindsey named to USSDA Team of the Year

SKC Academy and Swope Park Rangers defender Jaylin Lindsey was named to the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Team of the Year for the U-15/16 Central Conference. Lindsey played a significant role in helping both the U-16 and U-18s qualify for the Development Academy playoffs, marking the first time that both teams have qualified for the postseason in the same year.


Lindsey appeared in 13 matches for the U-16s this year and another five for the U-18s. He also signed an Academy contract with the Swope Park Rangers in May and became the first American soccer player born in the 2000s or later to make his professional debut when he played the final five minutes against Saint Louis FC on May 7.
Aside from his work with the SKC Academy and Swope Park Rangers, Lindsey has been a fixture on the U.S. youth national team scene. Lindsey featured for the U.S. U-17 Boy’s National Team at the  AIFF Youth Cup in May as well as the Mercedes-Benz Aegean Cup in January. He has also represented his country at the U-14 and U-15 levels.
