Sporting KC II signs Jack Kortkamp to MLS NEXT Pro amateur contract

Sporting Kansas City II announced today that the club has signed Sporting Kansas City Academy goalkeeper Jack Kortkamp to an MLS NEXT Pro amateur contract.

MLS NEXT Pro amateur contracts are on a single-game basis, preserving Kortkamp's NCAA eligibility. He will be available for selection on Sunday for Sporting KC II's match against North Texas SC at Rock Chalk Park.

Kortkamp joined the Sporting Kansas City Academy in the summer of 2021 and has since represented club and country as one of the most talented American goalkeepers in his age group. The goalkeeper participated in the first team's preseason for a brief stint in January and played in two SKC II preseason matches in February and March.

He has represented the Academy at the U-14, U-15, U-17 and U-19 levels, competing in prestigious MLS NEXT events such as GA Cup, MLS NEXT Flex, MLS NEXT Cup Showcase and MLS NEXT Fest. The goaltender has participated in four U.S. Youth National Team Camps including one in West Palm Beach, Florida last month.
