As Sporting Kansas City continues to train in Kansas City during the Major League Soccer hiatus until July 16, FIFA World Cup 26 continues this week with Kansas City's third and fourth Group Stage matches on Thursday and Saturday.

FIFA World Cup 26 will feature six matches at Kansas City Stadium throughout the tournament, having started last Tuesday with Argentina topping Algeria 3-0 and continuing with a 0-0 draw between Ecuador on Curacao last Saturday. The tournament continues this week as Kansas City Stadium prepares to host matches on June 25 (Tunisia-Netherlands) and June 27 (Algeria-Austria), before the Knockout Stage begins on July 3 (Round of 32) and July 11 (Quarterfinal).

Four countries (Algeria, Argentina, England and Netherlands) have also selected the region for their team base camp and both soccer-specific stadiums in KC will be utilized as venue-specific training sites for national teams in the tournament.

Sporting Kansas City co-owner Cliff Illig is co-chair of the KC2026 Board of Directors, while Sporting Kansas City President and CEO Jake Reid serves as Vice President. Sporting Kansas City was announced by KC2026 as an official Host City Supporter and the club will activate at FIFA Fan Festival at the National WWI Museum and Memorial in addition to hosting Soccer Capital Summer at Sporting Park.

SOCCER CAPITAL SUMMER & GYMCLASSHEROES AT SPORTING PARK

Soccer Capital Summer at Sporting Park rolls on this week with two days open on Monday and Sunday for fans to enjoy events and experiences with watch parties, live entertainment and immersive programming. Soccer Capital Summer will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday as both days feature highly anticipated World Cup matches, while gymclassheroes will perform at 4:15 p.m. on Sunday. Soccer Capital Summer is free to attend for fans of all ages with advance registration required. Parking can be purchased in advance ($15 for Season Ticket Members, $20 for general public) or on the day of an event ($25).

SPORTING KC BLOOD DRIVE & VOLUNTEER EVENT

Sporting KC will host a blood drive at Sporting Park from 12-6 p.m. on Thursday, while a group of volunteers from the club along with Dairy Farmers of America will take part in an event benefiting Giving Hope KC’s Food Pantry on Thursday afternoon.

YOUTH CLINICS AT FIFA FAN FESTIVAL

Sporting KC will offer a pair of free youth soccer clinics on Friday (2:30-3:30) and Saturday (3:30-4:30) at the FIFA Fan Festival at the National World War I Museum and Memorial. Fans can reserve free general admission passes – or purchase passes for the premium garden and legacy lounge – to access the festival, which will feature live match screenings, entertainment, a FIFA store, host city supporter campus activations and more.

SPORTING STYLE POP UP STORES

Sporting Style will have several pop up stores around the metro throughout the week, including at the Kansas City Power & Light District around the Mexico vs. Czechia game on Wednesday at 8 p.m. and the U.S. Men’s National Team group finale against Türkiye on Thursday at 9 p.m. In addition, Sporting Style will have a pop up store at the Central Bank Boardwalk Branch from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.
