Sporting Kansas City will conclude a stretch of seven games in 22 days with a pair of home matches this week at Children's Mercy Park as the team hosts the Houston Dynamo on Wednesday in the U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 before welcoming the Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Saturday in MLS regular season play. Tickets for both matches are available online at SeatGeek and Wednesday's match is included in Sporting Kansas City Season Ticket Member packages.
Sporting will take on Houston for a fifth time in the past six editions of the U.S. Open Cup at 7:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday with a berth in the tournament quarterfinals at stake. The match will be streamed live on ESPN+ for subscribers in addition to local radio broadcasts on Sports Radio 810 WHB (English) and La Grande 1340 AM (Spanish).
Saturday will mark the return of the club's annual Sporting Sustainability theme night as Sporting plays Western Conference foe Vancouver Whitecaps FC. The match will be locally televised on 38 The Spot with three hours of coverage beginning at 7:30 p.m. CT. The broadcasts will also stream live on SportingKC.com and in the Sporting KC app for viewers in Kansas and Missouri (excluding St. Louis area per MLS policy), as well as ESPN+ for out-of-market subscribers.
