AUTOMATIC RENEWAL AND PAYMENT TERMS

By purchasing a Membership, you are joining the Sporting Blue for Life Continuous Membership Program that will renew every year under the following payment terms:

1. Payment Plan Options. Members will have access to two payment plans:

  • Annual Plan: This plan allows Members to pay 100% of the cost of their Membership every August 31 for the next Season. This payment may be made using American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa (each a “Credit Card”).
  • Monthly Installment Plan Payment: This plan allows Members to pay for the cost of their membership for the following Season by making seven (7) equal payments commencing on August 31, with the next payments being due on the last day of each of the 6 next months. These seven (7) monthly payments may be made by Credit Card only. If the Credit Card is declined for a payment for any reason, Sporting Kansas City will re-run the Credit Card 24 hours later, and again 48 hours after the payment was initially declined. If at this point payment has not been made, Sporting Kansas City will attempt to notify the Member by email and/or telephone to request that the payment information be updated. If the issue with the Credit Card is not remedied within 15 days of the date payment was initially declined, Membership benefits for the following season shall be suspended until payment in full is made.

Please note that any Playoff Matches will be billed to Members on a match-by-match basis as such matches are confirmed, regardless of the payment plan selected by the Member. See Section 3. Play-Off Tickets: Automatic Renewal below.

2. Automatic Ticket Renewal.

With the purchase of a Membership for the upcoming Season, Members agree to enter into an automatic renewal membership program. Through this program, Members will have their Membership automatically renewed for the upcoming Season 30 days after Sporting Kansas City provides electronic written notice, until such time as they choose to opt-out of their Membership in accordance with the procedures set forth in this Agreement.

Sporting Kansas City’s Membership Services Team will send a renewal notice to Members at least 30 days prior to the renewal deadline each year. This renewal notice will specify the new pricing for the Member’s tickets for the upcoming Season as well as any other ticket changes or Membership benefits. Members may opt-out of their Membership for the upcoming Season any time before the deadline by contacting a member of the Sporting Kansas City Client Services Team.  Any such Member who opts-out of the next Season will retain Membership status for the remainder of the current Season and any outstanding or future Membership payments relating to the current Season must be paid by the Member.

If notice of cancellation is not received by Sporting Kansas City within the time frame specified above, the Member’s tickets shall be automatically renewed for the upcoming Season and the Member’s first payment shall be due and payable in accordance with the payment option selected under the Agreement.

Any changes to the price of the Membership, or any material changes to the Membership benefits, will be communicated to Members at least 30 days prior to the automatic renewal date each year. If Members wish to select a different payment plan at the start of each subsequent Season, they may do so by informing the Sporting Kansas City Client Services department prior to the deadline for the following Season provided that no change in a payment plan will be effective until confirmed in writing by Sporting Kansas City.

The Membership cannot be suspended for any period of time. If a Member chooses to cancel the Membership for any period, the Member will need to re-establish Membership, subject to availability, and be subject to the then-current Member pricing and benefits.

Individuals or entities who select a Membership expressly authorize the initial and continued payments in accordance with their selected payment plan for the current Season and for each subsequent Season, until such time as they choose to opt-out of their Membership as provided herein.

3. Play-offs Tickets: Automatic Renewal.

Because of the inherent uncertainty associated with playoff games, MLS Cup playoffs and Leagues Cup matches not included in the Membership are at an additional cost above the annual Membership dues. Members automatically retain their seats for all MLS Cup playoff and Leagues Cup tournament matches, excluding MLS Cup Finals. Tickets will be charged in advance of each round. Upon receipt of ticket pricing information, you may provide written notice by the designated date to opt-out, not be charged, and have no change to your Membership status. Notification of pricing will be sent to you prior to the end of the regular season. Upon release of the schedule, Sporting Kansas City shall send Members a notice of ticket pricing information. Upon receipt of ticket pricing information, Member may provide written notice by the date listed in the notice to opt-out of the playoffs, not be charged, and said opt-out shall cause no change to the Member’s status.

If notice of opt-out is not received by Sporting Kansas City within the time frame as specified, Member will automatically receive tickets for those additional games that Season, as applicable, and the Member’s payment shall be due and payable in accordance with the ticket pricing information provided.
