All of Sporting's Goals from 2022

Throughout the 2022 campaign, Sporting Kansas City tallied 54 total goals in all competitions. Leading the way in the goal-scoring category were team captain Johnny Russell and newcomer Willy Agada, both with eight scores to their name. Homegrown hero Daniel Salloi ranked second on the club at seven goals but paced the team in assists. This year, 14 different players scored for Sporting KC including newcomers Agada, Kortne Ford, Marinos Tzionis, Erik Thommy and Robert Voloder.

Midfielder Roger Espinoza's 45-yard strike, which earned him MLS AT&T Goal of the Week Honors for week 19, took home the club's Goal of the Year title and helped Sporting KC knock off CF Montreal on the road on July 9. Graham Zusi's match-winning wonder strike into the upper-90s against Nashville as well as Thommy's valiant volley against the LA Galaxy received Goal of the Week nominations too.

In the Round of 32 of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, Tzionis scored the latest regulation goal in club history when he redirected a corner kick past Jimmy Maurer in the eighth minute of second-half stoppage time to level the match en route to a 4-2 Sporting KC victory.

Sporting's offense will get a boost in 2023 as Gadi Kinda and Alan Pulido are set to return to the squad. Kinda and Pulido both scored a team-high six goals in 2020 and combined for 13 more in 2021.
