Sporting Kansas City has reached the Concacaf Champions League Semifinals for the first time in club history, defeating Toluca and Independiente in previous rounds to set up a titanic clash with Mexican giants CF Monterrey.

Thursday's quarterfinal first leg at Estadio BBVA Bancomer is slated for 9 p.m. CT as both sides look to gain an advantage heading into next week's second leg at Children's Mercy Park.
