Sporting Kansas City today announced that forward Khiry Shelton will join the cast of an upcoming season of The Bachelorette. Described regularly as handsome, dashing, stunning and gorgeous, Shelton will try to win the heart of the season’s contestant to be named at a later date.
Sources close to the program indicate Shelton has a high probability of success in the coming season. Aside from being devilishly good-looking, Shelton is a humanitarian at heart as a prominent figure with the Victory Project, Sporting KC’s charitable foundation. He’s an avid fan of outdoor activities, like soccer and rollerblading and is, confirmed, tall (6’3”).
On the pitch, Shelton is entering his fourth season with Sporting Kansas City. Other than looking really good in Sporting Blue, he is a proven winner, boasting a 64.1%-win percentage when playing. He also scored in Sporting’s 3-1 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps in Round One of last year’s MLS Cup Playoffs.
For those of you who do not know, The Bachelorette is a reality TV dating show that airs on ABC in which a contestant will choose a husband out of a number of eligible bachelors. While the full list of contestants has yet to be released, it’s implied that the fellow participants on Shelton’s season can just throw in the towel as they simply stand no chance against him.
The Sporting KC striker’s season is set to air on the 35th of Nevuary. Do not miss Khiry Shelton’s televised shot at love, and if you want Shelton content sooner, tune in to 38 The Spot, Saturday at 7 p.m. CT when Sporting Kansas City takes on the Whitecaps at BC Place in Vancouver.
