Leagues Cup 2024 kicks off in 100 days!

Sporting Kansas City will host Eastern Conference rivals Chicago Fire and Liga MX giants Toluca FC this summer during Leagues Cup 2024. Both MLS and Liga MX will pause their seasons for this World Cup-style tournament sanctioned by Concacaf.

Check out our **Leagues Cup Hub** for everything you need to know about the tournament.

Sporting faced Chicago Fire during the MLS regular season, last year. Chicago was able to pull ahead a 1-0 win at Children’s Mercy Park, in a hard-fought 90-minutes. Sporting faced Toluca in the Round of 32 of Leagues Cup 2023, where the third most decorated team in Liga MX was able to eliminate Sporting from the tournament after a 4-1 scoreline. Both matches look to be action-packed rematches.

The winner of Sporting Kansas City’s group will meet the winner of Group 8 of the West Region – a group that features Atlas FC, Houston Dynamo FC, and Real Salt Lake – in the Round of 32, while the runner-up will play reigning MLS Cup champions Columbus Crew on Aug. 8 at Lower.com Field in Ohio.

The League Cup's unique format ensures an action-packed 90 minutes. During the group stage, each team receives three points for a win in regulation and one point if the match is tied after 90 minutes. The team has an opportunity to earn a second point by prevailing in a penalty shootout.

Don’t miss a minute of the action. Leagues Cup 2024 will be available on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. If you’re in Kansas City this summer, live the excitement of the Leagues Cup in-person and secure your tickets today!
