Loan Update: Adrian Zendejas joins the Rangers ahead of clash with Whitecaps FC 2

Adrian Zendejas vs. LA Galaxy II - Sept. 30, 2016

The Swope Park Rangers have added goalkeeper Adrian Zendejas on loan from Sporting Kansas City ahead of tonight’s USL contest with Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2.

Zendejas has been in the 18-man gameday squad for all nine Sporting KC matches to date, but is yet to make his debut for the club. The 21-year-old started the first two games of the USL season with the Rangers – earning a 3-1 win over OKC Energy FC and a 1-0 victory over Portland Timbers 2 in late March.

Zendejas has gone 10-1-0 as a member of the Rangers since joining the club last June, posting a 0.79 goals against average with six shutouts. At home, Zendejas has gone 8-0-0 with a 0.43 goals against average. He joins defenders Erik Palmer-Brown, Tyler Pasher and Colton Storm as Sporting KC players on loan with the Rangers.

SPR hosts Whitecaps FC 2 at Children’s Mercy Victory Field at Swope Soccer Village tonight, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. CT and tickets available via SeatGeek. A live stream will be available on SportingKC.com while fans can also follow the action on USLSoccer.com’s MatchCenter.
