Sporting Kansas City Director of Communications Kurt Austin and Assistant Director of Player Personnel Meghan Cameron joined the United Soccer Coaches podcast on Wednesday to discuss Sporting KC and the Swope Park Rangers with program host Dean Linke.
Austin set the table for an exciting, high-stakes soccer weekend — Sporting KC hosts LAFC in Sunday's all-important regular season finale, while the Swope Park Rangers continue their run in the USL Cup Playoffs at Phoenix Rising FC on Friday night — before discussing the various ways in which Cameron has impacted the club during her first season on the Sporting KC technical staff.
Cameron then took center stage to reflect on her soccer-centric career, ranging from her playing days at Rutgers University to her transition to Major League Soccer player relations and finally to her arrival in Kansas City, where she specializes in roster management, budget oversight and player development.
