Rangers agree to transfer Rodrigo Saravia to Comunicaciones FC in Guatemala

The Swope Park Rangers announced on Wednesday that the club has agreed to transfer midfielder Rodrigo Saravia to Comunicaciones F.C. in Guatemala.


Saravia, 25, appeared in 11 games for the Rangers this season with two goals and two assists after previously playing for Columbus Crew SC (2016), Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (2016) and IK Frej (2017).


A Guatemala native, Saravia has six caps for the Guatemala National Team and will now play in Guatemala’s domestic league for the first time in his professional career.


The Rangers, back-to-back Western Conference champions, will continue the 2018 USL campaign this Sunday when SPR hosts Las Vegas Lights FC at 4 p.m. CT at Children’s Mercy Park. Tickets are available online at SeatGeek.com and the Rangers will also host a Match Day Clinic for youth ages 6-12.
