Tickets to individual Sporting Kansas City regular season home MLS matches at state-of-the-art LIVESTRONG Sporting Park will go on sale to the general public beginning Monday, May 16th, the club announced Friday.
Current Sporting Kansas City Season Ticket Members will have the opportunity to purchase single-game tickets in advance through an exclusive pre-sale, which will start at 10:00 a.m. CT on Monday, May 9th and end Wednesday, May 11th.
Wyandotte County residents may also purchase single-game tickets prior to the general public by taking advantage of a two-day pre-sale window on Thursday, May 12th and Friday, May 13th.
Sporting Kansas City will open LIVESTRONG Sporting Park at 9:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, June 9th against rivals Chicago Fire on ESPN2. The brand new, $200 million stadium is currently under construction in Kansas City, Kansas and will seat 18,467 spectators for soccer matches beneath a canopy roof that covers every seating section.
The soccer-specific stadium was designed to be among the best of its size in the world and will feature the latest in innovative technologies for in-game fan experiences.
In addition to the upcoming release of single-game tickets for Sporting Kansas City home MLS matches, a limited number of tickets remain on sale for the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup doubleheader on June 14th featuring the United States Men’s National Team at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park. Seats are also currently available for Sporting Kansas City’s friendly against tradition-rich English Premier League club Newcastle United FC on July 20th at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park.
Both matches, and all 17 Sporting Kansas City regular season MLS home matches, are included in 2011 Sporting Kansas City season ticket packages, which begin at $14 per game. The team also recently unveiled Take Ten Ticket Packs, which provide two options for half-season ticket plans that both include a seat at the historic home opener on June 9th and the Newcastle United friendly on July 20th.
