Sporting Kansas City’s match against the New York Red Bulls on Saturday, August 3 will now be played at 5:30 p.m. CT at Sporting Park, Major League Soccer announced on Monday. Tickets for the match, originally scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. CT, are available online at Ticketmaster.com or at the Sporting Park Box Offices.
The visit from Thierry Henry and the New York Red Bulls will be nationally televised on NBC Sports Network, beginning four straight hours of MLS coverage on the channel. A 90-minute edition of MLS Breakaway will air immediately afterward on NBC Sports Network to provide live look-ins at four MLS matches being played during the broadcast window.
Sporting Kansas City earned a 1-0 victory over the Red Bulls in April at Red Bull Arena. The meeting on Aug. 3 at Sporting Park will be the only other encounter between the Eastern Conference contenders during the regular season this year.
