Sporting KC Academy standout Dominik Baczewski joins Poland U-15s for friendlies in Europe

Sporting Kansas City Academy player Dominik Baczewski has joined the Poland U-15 Boys' National Team for the second time in 2022, venturing to Europe for a pair of friendly matches against the Ireland U-15s.

Baczewski and Poland will host the Irish on Nov. 8 in Zbąszynek and on Nov. 11 in Babimost. The 14-year-old previously represented Poland in the UEFA U-15 International Development Tournament from Sept. 11-17 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Born in June 2008 and raised in Northbrook, Illinois, Baczewski joined the Sporting Kansas City Academy on a part-time basis in 2019 and became a full-time player for the club this summer. Prior to competing for Sporting, he was a member of the Chicago Fire FC Academy in his home state.

Under the guidance of first-year Academy Director Declan Jogi, the Sporting Kansas City Academy is two months into the 2022-23 MLS NEXT season, with six teams at the U-12 to U-19 levels squaring off against other MLS academies from across the country.
