For the first time since mid-2019, the Sporting KC Halftime Media Game returns during the upcoming match against Austin FC on July 30, 2022.

Local media members from across the city will be participating in the fan-favorite event, from print journalists to TV reporters to radio personalities to podcast hosts.

A grand total of 34 media participants will play in the match, split into two teams of 17 - one donning the primary Sporting Blue jerseys and the other in the team's newest jersey, the secondary Sporting Indigo outfits.

The match will see Sporting take on one of the surprise packages of the 2022 season in Austin FC who are competing at the top of the Supporters' Shield standings after finishing 12th in their expansion season in 2021. Sporting Legends Josh Wolff and Davy Arnaud, Austin's head coach and assistant coach, respectively, will return to Kansas City for the match. Tickets are available via SeatGeek.com.
