Circle your calendars, Sporting Kansas City fans. The month of July is going to be action packed.

From July 1, when Sporting welcomes three-time Canadian Championship winners Vancouver Whitecaps to Kansas City, through July 31, when SKC takes on 12-time LIGA MX champions Chivas Guadalajara in Leagues Cup, the month ahead is filled with six matches as well as major events including the MLS All-Star Game and the start of the Women's World Cup.

And Sporting is going to kick it all off with a post-match fireworks show following SKCvVAN on July 1 at Children's Mercy Park.

All fans attending the match on July 1 will be treated to one of the best fireworks displays of the holiday weekend in Kansas City with the fireworks show set to begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the match. Fans will be directed to designated areas of the stadium for maximum visibility and select fans will have the opportunity to watch the fireworks from the field.

Tickets for the Western Conference clash are available via SeatGeek, including the following packages and promotions:

  • Americana Pack: Receive one reserved ticket, one hot dog, one beer or 20-ounce Coca-Cola product and field access for the post-match fireworks show for $38 (East Goal Line) or $42 (West Goal Line)

In the lead up to Fourth of July, Sporting Kansas City will honor the service and sacrifice of military members and their families when the club hosts the sixth annual Sporting Salutes theme night at Children's Mercy Park on July 1. The initiative is held in partnership with military units from both Kansas and Missouri with numerous elements of the matchday experience elevated to honor servicemen and women.
