Sporting Kansas City announced Thursday the release of a ticket opportunity that will allow fans access to see the defending MLS Cup champion Colorado Rapids as well as the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal match against the Richmond Kickers for one low price.
Fans who purchase a ticket in advance to the match against the Rapids on July 6th at 7:30 p.m. at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park will also receive a free ticket to the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match against the Richmond Kickers on July 12th. The match against the Kickers begins at 7:30 p.m. and will also be played at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park.
In order to qualify to receive a free ticket for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match, fans must purchase a ticket in advance for the Colorado Rapids match. Fans can purchase tickets at the LIVESTRONG Sporting Park box office, online through Ticketmaster.com or by calling 888-4KC-GOAL.
Those who take advantage of the offer may then pick-up their complimentary ticket for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match at the Guest Services windows located in the Sprint Plaza during the Colorado Rapids match on July 6th.
Sporting Kansas City advanced to the quarterfinal round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup following a 3-0 win over Chicago Fire PDL on Tuesday at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park. The quarterfinal appearance will be the team's first since 2009 and sixth all-time.
Individual game tickets for the quarterfinal match against the Richmond Kickers on July 12th are $10 for 2011 Sporting Kansas City season ticket members and $15 for the general public, and will be available for purchase on TicketMaster.com.
